BMW to SVX?

Hey guys, I just registered the other day because I have a chance to buy a 93 SVX 25th Anniv. Edition with 60K on it. I love these cars, but I hate that it's automatic. I would be going from a 94 BMW 325is 5-speed to the SVX. I really want to drive a manual again, but I really love these cars. And no, I don't have money to get a 5-speed put in. What should I do?

I agree with Danny - it would be best to hold out for an SVX that's already converted 'properly'.

There's one currently for sale on this board by a member who's an expert mechanic:

Buying

Shop around before you buy an SVX because there are many way over priced cars out there. Watch the prices on Ebay, etc. You will probably save enough to buy a car and put a 5 speed in it. If you can do the work yourself, look for an SVX with bad tranny and you should be able to pick it up in the $1000 range and then add the 5 speed.
