New owner-Weird noises & smells

I have the same car, in red, but i have the same problem. I have narrowed it down to cam seals. Does the oil burning smell also have a hint of rubber to it? If so thats the oil comming into the timing belt cover and taking some of the rubber shavings out w/ it and it drips down the front of the engine and jumps back to the ehaust manifolds. I am planning on doing my seals and t belt in a week or so
