Talking SVX lives?????

Just reading the articals in new July issue of Playboy, and looking at the last page (164) ck out the pic of the door of a unnamed car center pic. Looks like someone thinks the SVX style windows are cool now and bringing them back

Can you scan it? I've seen split windows on plenty of cars. The SVX was certainly not the first to use them, but I think it still represents the most practical implementation. Probably the best-looking, as well. The SVX's split windows are far better integrated into the car's exterior and look much easier to live with than any others I've seen.

I don't have a flat scanner..sorry.

Do you have a buddy that subscribes to Playboy???

I have no idea what kind of car it is, the roll down portion of the window is much smaller than the SVX's but the style is all the same.
Just think.....Subaru still has the stamping for the body, except make it out of aluminimum (sp) make sure it has a full gauge package, beef up the Automatic and make a 6speed.and keep the price down!! They would probably sell better today!
The new Nissan 300 Z is a reminder of what can happen by bringing back an icon

Sure, but the Z-cars have a long history and they have the advantage of, you know, actually being an icon. The SVX, while loved by Subaru, the members of this forum and a few members of the automotive press, is hardly an icon. We've been over this a hundred times or more on this site - if Subaru 'revived' the SVX name, few would remember it with much fondness. Indeed, few would remember it at all.
