Talking Thanks!

As a newbie to the Reading event, I just wanted to thank everyone who made it happen (Mike, BeneBob, et al). Austin and I had a great time (will probably have an even better time when he reaches the legal drinking age -- he'll be driving his own SVX by then!). The "family" nature of the SVX community that Randy always mentions on this site really came through (nubs changing brake pads, wazzat cleaning throttle bodies, the list goes on..). It was great to finally put faces with nicknames and get to know everyone (well, almost everyone -- give me another meet or two to get over my introverted nature). After some "deep thought", I've decided the rotors will wait for SVX #2 to show itself (it will get the 5 spd treatment) -- thanks so much to Mike and Benebob for arranging for RaceConcept's donation!
So, what meet comes up next?
-Bill

Thanks

I don't know if everyone wants "eagle eyes" Austin back since he out navigated everyone else there.

Thanks, Bill & Austin, for keeping the "First Annual Beautiful Naviguesser" trophy within the confines of the great state of Merry-land. Although I KNOW Rufus & I counted the proper number of churches, & EVERYONE ELSE was wrong, I'll humbly bow to your success, ALTHOUGH I JUST KNOW.....Ah, nevermind.

Good loser Ron.

Bill,
It was great to meet you and Austin. I brought my son to Reading Iii on his 13th Birthday. As I shared at the dinner, he has been scarred for life by the experience. I hope that Austin made it through the weekend unscathed. As long as you kept him away from Larry, he may be okay.

Hi Bill

I'm glad I got a chance to meet you. It was nice talking to you at the meet.

Does Austin want an SVX yet?

Todd

Yes!

Austin is definitely "one of the family"...he thinks the SVX is the coolest car out there (looks like a Ferrari, Dad!). Now, if I can just get him to help me work on it (I think my oldest daughter has inherited my mechanical ability).

Note: just got back from working in the Goddard garage at lunch putting the new rotors on...awesome! Painted the calipers for the time being (yes, Doug, I'm waiting paitently for power coated ones )...the ss lines are very nice and actually came with the bracket to bolt the line to the back of the housing just like the stock line. Need to go back later today and bleed the system.
