Thumbs up Race the SVX Online for FREE in Re-Volt !!!

I am pleased to announce that the SVX is now easily raceable online FREE, in one of the greatest RC racing games of all-time, Re-Volt!!

All the download files you need are at the bottom of this post.

I arranged with a new friend to have the SVX converted from another game into Re-Volt for the reasons of: Re-Volt is legally downloadable for free now (only about 60Mb too), it features Race and Battle Tag modes (super fun!!!) in which you have to option of enabling pickups (Missles, oil slicks, water balloons, shockwaves, exploding dummy pickups, speed boosts, etc.) and battling it out, or just pure straight up racing on super cool tracks.

Re-Volt is from 1999 so it is easily playable on almost any modern computer.

Some of the best features include:

-You can build you own tracks with the built in track editor.
-You can download hundreds of custom cars and tracks already made (ill supply the SVX ).
-You can easily play multi-player online with "RVHouse", a small program dedicated to Re-Volt online play and chat, in a very simple and smart format.
-You can easily customize your SVX paint job!! (its a .bmp file, easily edited with Windows Paint or whatever), exhaust tone (change .WAV in car folder), and performance specs!! (with Notepad ).
-You custom map your controls (Keyboard, Gamepad, etc.)
-All the maps are fun to race and play tag in.... you are an R/C car so you race in supermarkets, neighborhoods, museums, a cruise ship, etc. and can shoot or ambush the competition with the randomly generated pickups placed all over the tracks. BattleTag has arena type maps where you chase after whoever has the glow, steal the glow, and keep it until your timer runs out and win. You have the ability to jump/flip your car and can do some gnarly tricks to escape or catch the opponents (like banking off a pole to scale a 10 foot fence).

I am posting links to everything you need below. The size of the game itself is only 60MB, so its not huge. The graphics on this game are great and the physics are flawless (and adjustable!!). Theres still a very loyal following that is keeping the online play going strong.

Heres a preview of Re-Volt, the slower cars racing in the Neighborhood 1 track:

Here are the links to download what you need:

The Game itself: http://www.freewebs.com/zipperrulez/ (scroll down to near bottom, this is the guy who converted for me the SVX from NeedForSpeed-High Stakes) or at http://www.abandonia.com/en/downloadgame/908

The SVX: (drop SVX folder into cars folder in Program Files/Acclaim Entertainment/Re-Volt):http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZOEZRBYF

RVHouse, the online multiplayer and chat: http://rvhouse.zackattackgames.com/i...tion=downloads

The Re-Volt 1207 patch, which fixes all bugs and enables the game to be played without the Re-Volt CD: http://revolt_f1.webs.com/rvtoolshed.htm
Note, this site is also a great resource for any utilities, information, and customizing you may want. You can also unlock all tracks and cars by downloading, from the same page "RV reg Cheat", its a simple registry entry you double-click that modifies the Re-Volt registry entry to unlock everything.

So thats it, its very easy to install the game, add the patch and the car to the Re-Volt folder, and install the RVHouse multiplayer app. This game is AWESOME and provides lots of fun and laughs, whether your playing offline to explore the tracks, or online racing people or battling it out in Battletag mode. All downloads have been tested and used, 100% safe, and I have played this game since 1999 (but just got the SVX tonight!!), its very addicting and will provide hours of entertainment.

So lets race some SVX's and see what its like to shoot missiles and waterballons, etc. out of the front, or oil slick or P/U bomb to fubar the guys behind you
See you guys there, any questions just post them and ill be happy to answer.
