Subaru SRX Concept (SVX concept car) info.??

When the original SVX concept was previewed at the various worldwide motor shows, it was called the SRX. I remember seeing this at the Auckland (New Zealand) motor show & instantly committed to one day buying this car (onto my second SVX now)

After the SVX production model hit the market, there was an outfit called SRX Concepts (if I remember correctly) which had a website & also did an aftermarket SRX body kit + other mods.

I have Googled the Subaru SRX & it looks like SRX Concepts is gone & I can not find any original pictures of the SRX or reference to the aftermarket kit.

Does this ring a bell with anybody & if so, is the SRX kit still made & who sells it?

Dayle has kits for sale like the Auckland concept in 1989 (I think I still have the original poster from the show in the attic!!).

Hey dude
I think you got a bit muddled up.
The concept was always called the SVX.
It even shows it printed on the side of the SVX

Subaru did make a Subaru Leone two door Hatch and that was called a SRX.
Also the Non turbo verson of the WRX was also called the SRX.

Thanks for the reference to the aftermarket site.

I remember the 1989 Auckland motor show very well. The SVX concept was a real stunner. Tis a pity that it was toned down. It would have been great if they had produced a top tier model exactly like the concept car.

I indeed got it muddled up. The confusion point must have been around the now defunct SRX concepts website that used to specialise in after-market SVX parts. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
