FYI - just rang

"TREVOR" - he said he will turn up.

"NUTSHL" - he is in Wellington this week so cannot make it, but would love to see photos, he will be keen for another weekend at some stage over the summer.

Any one want to ring "FLOATINGKIWI" in Taupo - his name is Matt Burton (07 377 3465) - you never know he may be heading north for the weekend?

Well with rain clouds coming in over Auckland - I arrived about 8.55am took a couple of photos before the rain came down....

Only two of us braved what appeared to be a good day for Wellington

, but never mind, the cafe' was pretty good. We will have to try again sometime............

wonder how long hairy got his svx?i think surtress owned the lonest,12 years?wonder where u all have ur car for service or repair?i changed my wheel bearing once with ANZAC auto repair at brownbay,its qoite ok,i bought the bearing (left one) at subaru for 100nz,and labor cost 150nz,job quite ok?what u all have had major repairs done over 12 years?

I've had mine almost exactly 1 year, I beat subbieatnz to it in Christchurch.

I have full record of everything done on mine since new...

the things that stand out the most are -

100,000km service costing me NZ$800
then they forgot to change water pump (which siezed 5,000km later - they replace that for NZ$120 - and gave me another new belt / tensioner / labour all free)
- I had the GPS covering over the temperature gauge, hence did not notice anything wrong till I turned engine off & heard bubbling sound from engine / smelt the rubber from belt being dragged over the water pump - played the garden water hose on engine for 30 minutes to aid with cooling - no damage done (thank goodness).

Rear wheel bearings $250.00 (fitted)

Front discs & rotors replaced 2 months ago - NZ$1700.00 + all fluids changed.
(going to get drilled/slotted rotors & ceramic pads from Dayle at Motorsport Warehouse) - a lot cheaper, just remember that JDM has vented rears!!.

Keep the old one - it makes a nice ornament on the office desk!!!
