My insurers will be missing out if I write my car off. They have accepted an agreed value of NZ$13,000, having checked their advice base.

They certainly will. When my ma had her "oops" the value of the car was only about 2-3000 but she got 7000 for it from insurance, mostly because (they thought) replacing the airbag was going to be prohibitively expensivve.

Exactly why I have gone for "agreed value". With "market value" cover, the figure is open to the decision of the insurer. Not my idea of a watertight contract.

Welcome to the club!, was it the Wellington one or the Taranaki one you got?.....or was there a third?....

We are down in Masterton, so either way, its not far and it would be good to meet up with a second....

As soon as we get the problem with the coils sorted (we are only running 5 cyls at the mo) I'll give you a shout to sort somthing.
