Mine is right around 2250, with I think the original transmission.

Re: Revs of SVX at 100km?

Interesting, at 100km/hr mine (1995) is at 2050rpm. From cold it starts out at 2500rpm & over 15 min, as the engine comes up to operating temperature, it drops down to a steady 2050 rpm.

With the torque converter locked it should be around 2050RPM. Usually it's about 2-300 higher before lockup. This is for the 3.545 stock transmission.

That is right for the US ratio. The jdm and Euro are 3.7;1 and that gives 2250 @ 100km.

Harvey.

It would therefore appear that my New Zealand new 95 SVX uses the US 3.545 stock transmission.

Re: Revs of SVX at 100km?

Strange, maybe my tourque converter is not locking up properly as mine is a US car, I have no info of what was done to it before 2002 when it was imported to Canada, then no info after 2009 until I picked it up a couple of months ago.

Give the transmission at least 10 minutes of driving to reach 150°F before the TC will lock up. It will lock up only after you reach about 75-80kph.

Re: Revs of SVX at 100km?

100kmh = 92.1mph, I have used 2 GPS units and 100kmh actual is 65mph indicated on my car. Also I just noticed something that I think is strange but maybe just "feature" If I control the throttle to maintain an indicated 65mph the revs are about 100 to 150rpm less then if I set the cruse at the same indicated speed I have put 2500 miles on this SVX and loved every minute of it but still getting to know her.

As per other post, 100 km ph is 62 mph. For my SVX, it doesn't matter if I use cruise or not, the revs settle at a constant 2050rpm at 100km/hr.
