EXTRA nipple ... for Vacuum Tubing.. ?

When working on my car, I noticed an EXTRA vacuum nipple just below, to the center, and back from the Throttle Position Sensor. In other words, I saw a ~6 mm nipple protruding from the throttle "body" on the driver side .. without any tubing connected to it.. .

WELL .. What is it? AND, do I need to have tubing there? Sorry I'm so uninformed.. Hmmm?

Thanks..

Former coolant line for heating the throttle body? There should be one on the other side, as well. Zap us a pic, and we can tell you for sure.

Sounds reasonable! Cuz it's not attached.. and doesn't seem to have vacuum! So.. . I can just leave it open.. Huh?!

Thanks..

If it's not connected on the other end, either (that one is in a similar location, but points toward the firewall, angled down) then you should be fine - my Silver's just like that!
