LED interior lighting

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-BLUE-2-PCS-DOME-MAP-INTERIOR-LIGHT-BULBS-hid-SUBARU-/200585120733?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Make%3ASubaru|Model%3ASVX&hash=item2eb3ce0bd d

I kinda like the blue, but they do a white version. I just wish I could get amber LED spot lights like in a lexus or bmw

the amber glow is on all the time, makes it a little easier to see around in the car at night

Re: LED interior lighting

I was looking into brighter map lights recently and thought I would mention the LED bulbs I put in. They are the 12 'SMD' Xenon white DE3175 type.

These: White 31mm 12-SMD DE3175 3175 LED Bulbs Dome Light

They are definitely whiter and I think brighter... Kind of a challenge to get in though! I have now replaced all the intererior lights with white LEDs or Xenon bulbs.

Re: LED interior lighting

Isn't that amber LED in that pic just like the ambient blue LED in the map light thing on my 2011 legacy?
Could you not just buy an amber LED, make hole for it in the map light panel, wire the hot side to the anyone of the dash lights that come on when the headlights are on, then whenever its dark enough for the headlights, the LED in the roof would light up?
