Dash Enhancement

I met with a fellow SVXer last night. He has a bright red '94 LSI with beige interior. He had the aluminum dash kit from Motorsport installed. I did not think that it would look good with the beige interior. I was pleasantly surprised. I think it looks better than just OK. It has a kind of "aluminum under glass" look. It is not a typical brushed alum. flat look It is shinier than that and the beige interior imparts a soft warm glow to it. Its was almost like looking at an amber fog light bulb when it is off.

He also has the Stebro exhaust system on his SVX. It is very quiet at idle, just like stock. When the car is really revved up; the sound is like a cross between a high powed motorcycle and a souped-up V-8 muscle car. That's the best way that I can describe it.
The "Beautiful Navigusser said that she thought it sounded "too vulgar". Since she likes "the finer things" (like me); my guess is that most of the SVXers on this site will love the sound.

I'm with Rosie on this one - the SVX is best seen and not heard. Granted, the sing of the engine at 6k is great, but I want the car to remain quiet on a highway trip or my commute.

i have a true dual with magna flows mufflers....

and my car has a nice rumble and growl but it is not as low as the stebro. when i was at the MWM a guy with a black SVX and stebro was there and we put it to the test. my car was definitely higher pitched than his.

I have the KC system, which sounded good at first, but the longer it's on there, the tone is definitely changing. I'm guessing maybe because the muffler is getting filled w/deposits.....then again I might just be crazy

i like the sound it had when the center pipe and mufflers were off, we ran the car to blow out the rest of the catalytic converter stuff that was left in there. Holy poop it sounded like a top fuel dragster...well not really but it was pretty cool though!
