Not the belt. If it goes you'll know.

Does your check engine light ever come on?

I would recommend checking codes. Instructions are in the SVXipedia on http://svx-iw.com

If you follow the instructions for checking error codes the computer will tell you all of the saved codes as well, you CE light does not need to be on to read them.

sorry went and checked again and it was code 22(knock sensor 1 RH),and code 37(O2 sensor 2 LH)
does that sound more like the cause of my problem?

if so then all i have to do is replace both sensors and im good right?

There are procedures for testing the sensors themselves. The error doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad but could mean it's reading values out of range.

OK.. making more sence.

how/what should should i check for
or what could cause ( if the sensor is not bad) the sensor to throw the code?

I don't have the service manuals so I can't tell you which wires to check, what you're checking (volts, ohms, amps) or what values to expect.

Hopefully someone else jumps in right about now
