Cool Christmas present!
The dealership where I bought my previous car (WRX) and sometimes buy my SVX parts (at a nice discount) is considered one of Subaru's premier dealers for their customer satisfaction. Two years ago, I had commented to them that if they ever changed their decor, that I would love some of their dealership posters. Well, they just switched over to advertising the new Legacy.
When I went it last week to buy an oil filter, the salesman that sold me my WRX handed me a poster tube. Inside was the huge dealership "Driven By What's Inside" poster. Now it's mounted on foam core and will soon be framed and hung on my office wall. Sometimes it pays to patronize your Subaru dealership. |

Photoshop
Wouldn't it be cool to photoshop an SVX behind Lance instead of the Forester. It's certainly easy to replace the 3D Forester frame rendering in the lower right with a shot of the SVX. Hmmmm, something for me to do over the holidays.

The only one
I believe I got the only one they had. However, had they another, it probably would have gone the eBay way. Probably worth some cool green to the right Suby fanatic.
At the same dealership I've also got dibs on two ceiling to floor length banners: one with the front 3/4 view of a silver '02 WRX and the other a front end shot of a WRC STi in full flight. I might get the WRX banner soon because the car on it is an 02 and in just a couple of weeks it (the banner) will be three years old. An eternity in automotive marketing circles. |

You must be speaking of Earl Duff Subaru in Harriman. Does the boss still have the blue SVX for his personal transportation? Ron (Honorary Oak Ridge boy).

I'm impressed
Someone give the man a cigar!
Earl Duff Subaru's reputation must get around. They flat out knock the socks off Grayson Subaru in every measure. Tim Duff (Earl Jr.) still has his blue SVX. He let me drive it when I was still trying to decide whether or not I wanted one. His ride helped me make my decision (the answer was YES, I wanted one). No one at that dealership knew that there are 5 and 6-speed conversions out there so when I showed up with my 5-speed, they all pretty much flipped. Especially Tim. Doug Burgess at the parts window gives me pretty good discounts on parts. I'm pretty sure he'd extend the price break to other SVX'ers, so if you're ever in the area and need some parts, give him a shout and tell him Gads sent ya. |

Congrats on your gift. I'm still working on getting the SVX clock they have at the local (former Subaru) dealership.
Unfortunately the actual Subaru dealership here was less than enthusiastic about my 5 spd SVX. It must have been something to do with their previous SVX sales experience.
