Subaru Dealer Re-Man Trany part # question

I have been given a part number for the Subaru Re-manufactured Trany 31000AB860R1, the root number was minus the R1, I have asked the dealer to check to see what that includes, like the Transfer case and torque converter, his Mechanic remembers its coming with everything, but said we better check with Subaru Canada to make sure, so the dealer is doing that.
Has anyone else ordered the trany, and can they confirm what it came with?
OEM part#31000AB860R1

Here's another question:

What is the difference in the
1992-94: 31000AB860(R1) list for new $4627US
1995: 31000AC780 list for new is $5566US
1996-97: 3100AC860 list for new $4288US

I'll check the posts for these answers, but just wanted to ask.

Funny, I see listings for "reman trans incl core" 31000AB860R1 from $2469 to $3773 USD plus shipping. All year remans should be properly updated.

Tranny part #s

When I had my 95 rebuilt I was told that a 92-94 reman wouldn't work due to a different TCU and different wiring. As for the 96-97 being different the had the OBD-II that the earlier years didn't have so I'm sure they definately had a different TCU.

Yup, thats right, the 95's are different, and so are the 96-97.
so that means that maybe I want a 96 trany?

Who's going to tell me it won't fit? come on, lets hear from somebody.

OOOOOH! OOOOOOH! I wanna be first!

It won't fit.

Actually, I'm not 100% sure of that. I remember from somewhere that the bolt patterns (engine to transmission) were different after '92, but please don't hold me to that.

Trannys

SOA only has rebuilt trans for '92/'93. I think this has to do with the fact that after '93 the sales fell way off and there are too few for a factory program. Also the trans were improved and don't die like the '92/'93s. BOBB
