Flying SVX...

I'm kinda new here so dont know if you guys have seen this before but if you havent its definetly worth checking out...very interesting. Seems a little steep to pay more for the engine than the car cost new (on the bottom engine) but then again people are apperantly willing to pay that much so why not?

click on 'products'

then click on 'engines'

Engines that have been modified for aircraft use are not suitable foe automotive use. For example, aircraft gasoline is much higher octane so the compression ratio is increased accordingly.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

hmmm...then why do they claim a compression ratio of 9.5:1 on their site which would be lower than stock?

For fuel it says premium automotive gas. That is readily available, no?

I am talking about most aero engines. This one may be different. Its better to be aware BEFORE you buy.

huh? i never said i was interested in buying one, you're not bursting my bubble, all i said was that its an interesting site. One would have to be a bit off to pay 36,000 dollars for an engine to put in his 30,000 dollar (new) car.

Just picture your 4EAT looking like a JiffyPop package.
