Question Product credits/flames

What products do the forum members want to credit/flame? IMHO

Best plastic, vinyl, rubber product - 303 Aerospace Protectant
Worst - Armor All

Best Wax/Paint Sealant - Zaino, Klasse or Liquid Glass (pick one)
Worst - anything labeled cleaner/wax

Best Leather conditioner - Leatherique

Best glass cleaner - Stoners Invisible Glass

Best oil - Mobil 1 super syn

Best fuel system cleaner - generic toulene

General flames to:

Any headlight bulb with a visible blue tint (why deliberately reduce light output just to look whiter, plus our eyes prefer yellow hues to blue - try out some sunglasses to see yourself)

<<Any headlight bulb with a visible blue tint (why deliberately reduce light output just to look whiter, plus our eyes prefer yellow hues to blue - try out some sunglasses to see yourself)>> another nice one

where to get Zaino

The product can be mail ordered from Sal Zaino directly

http://www.zainobros.com/

or if you cruise around the site there's a list of secondary distributors. In my county I can pick it up at Eckler's Chevrolet (famous among Corvette fans - they swear by it).

His product line may be confusing, if serious about getting some contact me, or e-mail/call him direct. He doesn't tolerate fools well, but will talk and is quite knowledgable about polymer chemistry application to paint shine and protection.

Just saw a commercial for Lucas Transmission Fix. Advertises that it will stop slipping and stop almost any leak.

Anyone tried it? I'm afraid to try it.

liquid glass

I used Liquid Glass for years and it worked very well, that is until base coat clearcoat. It never seemed to adhere to clearcoat.

Put two coats of liquid glass on my wifes '02 4Runner (noticed your sig block) in Feb. Still beads up and shines like crazy (Thunder Cloud Metallic, a clearcoated color). Some users claim it used to have silicon in it, the current version does not. So, maybe the formulation has changed since your last use.

Question Leatherique

I have tried several different leather conditioners. My leather is still much stiffer than it should be.

Do you think leatherique will fix it? I have treated the leather about 3 times in as many months with no improvement. I even took the seats out, treated them and put them in the sun for awhile thinking that this would allow the treatment to penetrate better. No improvement.

This is just an opinion, but nobody comes close on softening and conditioning. While it can't fix color issues (although they will make custom dyes) it will bring back badly cracked leather to nearly new feel.

It's pretty expensive to use regularly. Average users (whatever that is) usually use it once a year then use a cheaper product like Meguiars on a more regular basis.

Check at a concours - the Bentley, Dusenberg, etc people will (if they will give any secrets away) all admit to using Leatherique.

Here's their site

http://www.leatherique.com/

edit: If anybody wanted cheap conditioning (but maybe not so good on smell). Rub neat's foot oil into the leather until it won't take anymore. Let sit for awhile. Wipe off excess. This is the stuff I used as a kid on my baseball glove.

you can just pour Iron City right in the toilet and eliminate the middle-man. actually, i'm a little pickier about my beer now than when i was in college looking under the couch cushions for money for 25-cent draft night. i recently got a taste for Mike's Hard Iced Tea - goes down TOO easy. Beck's is my favorite, though.
