newest addition to my stable :)

i have found myself a gem

94 legacy TURBO wagon (automatic )

now i can save my svx for pleasure driving and keep the miles down.
previous owner of 5 years: parts guy at the subaru dealership.
best previous owner scenario ever.
completely restored.
he brought it from the ashes and is selling it because his family is expanding and his oldest is about to be 16 and he doesnt want her to drive it lol
and i landed upon it by stroke of luck. ...
the type of car and owner who hand selects the deserving owner
i passed the test due to my 1337 subaru knowledge
and the condition of my svx sealed the deal

the two betties together:

one happy camper
....winning.

Re: newest addition to my stable :)

Very nice find! Was that Chris's car at Maita? I remember when he got it. As I recall, the Turbos were only available with auto-trans. Sound familiar?? Lots of love went into that little beast! Good luck with her!

Turbo wagons were only available with autos. You could get a 5 spd turbo sedan.

You are correct, but the only Subie I was considering at the time were wagons. Must have clouded my feeble old memory. I bought an LS Wagon with 5-speed instead. Wife insisted on it! And as primary driver she gets her way. We've had 3 of them now, and looks like that will be the end of the run, due to SOA's decisions on model availability in the U.S.

Re: newest addition to my stable :)

lightspeedrobot,
Cool! I'll have to swing in and give him a hard time about letting her go.
So, where in gold country are you? Maybe we could meet up some time and swap lies. My son manages a GREAT pizza place in Auburn. Pizza and good micro-brew beer perhaps?
