tranny rebuild information needed..92 svx

well as u all know my tranny is going kaput!!!! it has 93,0000 miles on it and its a 92 i opted to go for a rebuild my questions are.

is there any upgrades i should be looking for in the tranny.??
should i think abought changing out the gearing ratio??
the AWD has been acting u p and frount wheel spin more then they should.

should i upgrade the torque converter

a local guy here who is a expert of 18 year on transmsions is doign the work he even knew that it was the same tranmsions as in the nissan pathfinder so he has my confidence. he sharging between 1,300-1,800 for everything.

i guess what im getting at is.. what should i upgrade in the tranny or should keep it to all stock parts??

thanxs for any info u can give me =>

I heard about a new design torque converter, $600, the vanes are 22.5 degrees vs standard 45 degrees. Ask your tranny guy about it, could be a worth while up grade. Let us know what he sez.

The transfer control valve/solenoid is different.
The other stuff I mentioned.
