Thanks, guys. I ordered two of the bosch ones off of amazon.com, because that's all that was left in stock.

Ok, so I did the 5qt of 5w-30 HM and 2 qts of 0w-30 Extended Life whatevers..

and now on startup, I have a very brief, one second knock..like it goes KNOCKKNOCK and done.

Should I be worried? Or is it just knocking because of the lack of oil on startup?

Does it knock every time you start,
or just the first time that you started it after the oil change?

Every time pretty much. Depends on the frequency of starting

What oil filter are you using and does it have a check valve in it? Even some of the ones that do are known to sometimes slowly leak oil through the valve.

Bosch Distance Plus.

I wanted Purolator classic, but Adv. didn't have it
