E-manage Ultimate

I read the one thread I found on this, but it didnt come to a conclusion. Will the Greddy piggyback E-manage work with the EG33? I dont see why not seeing as its just a piggy back and even has a self tune feature. But would like to know for sure before i buy it.

The reason im asking is because for the price of the stage 2 ECUtune you can get a used EMU.

Re: E-manage Ultimate

Why would you use it as a piggyback instead of as a standalone?

Its not a standalone unit, your still need the ecu to run it. It just modifies the signals in real time to what you want.

That's a reasonable answer. I stand corrected.

Re: E-manage Ultimate

What are they normally used for? Which engines are they usually used with?

Re: E-manage Ultimate

Pretty wide array of engines. I've seen them on NA and turbo subies or NA+t subies. And many other cars not including Subarus. Its used for engine tuning E85, boost, basically anything you want to do with the engine. From what ive read its about the most you can do without having a full blown standalone.

Re: E-manage Ultimate

Plug and play wise it is only available for GC8,GF8,GDA, and GDB Imprezas. It's also available for the BD5,BG5,BH5,BE5 Legacy's. It's mainly set up for the old ej20 series engines, you can get the hardwire kit, however whether or not the emanage software can handle more than 4 injectors? questionable... plus they state that functions vary per application and it supports ONLY Vehicles Supported by Software. So as far as it working... and the actual tune-ability of it for an EG33 might be questionable.

Its a great product for the old legacy's whos ecu couldn't handle any reflashing... however if you're going to do engine management on the EG33 I would spring the extra 600 for a full stand alone that has proven results and amazing tunability.
