Question Please Help - Turn Signals Intermittently Cut Out!

Hello,
I just registered and joined the forum and was hoping you all can help me with this one.
My parents have a 1994 SVX that has a problem with the turn signals intermittently not working. The car has been to the Subaru dealer twice with no luck in finding the problem. It seems to be happening more frequently now.
What could be causing this problem? Any response will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!
-Ramon

On my Legacy, I had an intermittent problem too, where when one of the bulb doesn't blink, and the whole system would blink fast. As it turns out, the bulb was shot, even though it looked OK.

For a buck, it's not a bad diagnostic procedure to rule in or out.

yes, you can also check the connections to all the bulbs. I had a loose connection to my passenger side tail light causing it to work intermittently.

Intermittently means that as I drive along, and attempt to signal a turn, the turn signal does not work. No indication on the inside dash or the outside lights. After some time (which has varied), the problem corrects itself and the turn signals work like normal. I hope this helps explain the problem better. Thanks again for all your replys.

Is that if you're turning either direction?
