Ecsaine panel removal

Is it possible to take the ecsaine panels out with removing the dash?

I've got vinyl in my car currently and I've got an ecsaine interior kicking around so while I'm waiting for engine parts I figured why not.

I HATE taking the dash out and want to be lazy

Re: Ecsaine panel removal

I wanted to swap dash escaine too, but the screws don't seem to access from the rear. I believe that the dash must be removed, so that's on my list, but not looking forward to it, even though the console and radio are already out of the way.

I had the glove box out, and a bunch of other screws, but could not see the top inward screw of the main passenger dash piece. The triangle piece seems a problem as well.

Good luck

Re: Ecsaine panel removal

I found out it's possible!

But not without breaking things....

I had a spare dash that I got the ecsaine panels from, so I could see where the screws were. There are 2 hidden under the metal piece that's dead center. There is also one in the bottom corner on the door side. There are 2 more which you can't see hidden in the top corners that I just ended up breaking off.

So it is do-able

Re: Ecsaine panel removal

More or less. Although, the front piece is still held in by 7 screws, so it's not going anywhere....
