Cool Pearl 4WS JDM at SoCal Peterson Meet

Wow, the Peterson Automobile Museum was a blast, and the private tour was priceless. I could certainly do that venue more than once per year.

Again, a hearty thanks to Paul for sharing the VIP treatment he has earned with the rest of us. New friends, a great time by all. Thanks to all of you.

If anyone wishes to post pictures or comments of/about the Pearl Alcyone, let's make this thread the official discussion.

See you all here, and at the next SoCal meet

Re: Pearl 4WS JDM at SoCal Peterson Meet

Yea I thought Earl's was the only JDM SVX in the US. And forget 4WS. What's it like, how did it drive??? (did anyone drive it?) Would it be worth the effort/time/money required to get 4WS working on a USDM one?

And where'd it come from. Looks like it's got Japanese plates. And what's with the Ebony 4WS one in your sig? You been holding out on us??

I want to let NeedForSpeed tell give you the low down, but I can't leave you hanging any longer. Here's what I know:
It's his.
He's a secretive guy.
It took a lot of work.
It's freakin' AMAZING!
I want one

Yea but did anyone drive it to compare?? I've been wondering what the 4WS is actually like to drive for a while now. (Our English friends with the 4WS cars might want to chime in as well .)

I've driven it 4500 miles in five years, "did anyone", yes, I'm anyone.
It's late, been a fantastic weekend, but exhausting. More later

Much appreciation for posting pics of 'Autobahn Ninja'

The Version L is approved because of all the hard work Ron has done with the nhtsa to get the car approved, going on five years now.

Here is a picture of his Pearlie car [ reg L117WPX] taken nearly five years ago at the UK meet:

You might notice it is still carrying the same Japanese Bilstein sticker on the front bumper. Ron has certainly kept it in great shape since then. Well, considering he had just thrashed the nuts off it on the continental autobahns it's in great shape!

He's been keeping it secret until he had all the wrinkles out of the administrative duct tape. Hopefully now some of you may benefit by importing your SVX, using the path Ron has laid down.

I was thinking someone had brought it temporarily just for the meet or something. So what's the story? "Show and display" only? That's progress I guess.

Graham won't take too kindly to that remark, Sir!

But, and a small but, I will point out that that particular supercharger apparatus currently resides in the only supercharged Version L in the world, that we know of.

Mine! Hah!

So Ron...this is what all the parts went to?

Always wondered why you went to such great lengths to get RHD bits.
