Metallic noise going over bumps

So, heres a new one... just noticed it today.

Going over bumps (even small ones, various speeds), I hear a very distinct metallic noise from the passenger side. It's best described as the sound of change rattling in someones pocket. Chi-ching. Sort of like a tamborine sound. I can't notice it with the windows up, but it's very pronounced when the windows are down. Did an initial look around and couldn't find anything out of place...

Anybody have ideas?

most likely something in the brakes. (shims perhaps)

Going over the bump, lightly press on the brake pedal. If the rattling goes away, it is likely to be the pads rattling in the caliper. When pressed against the rotor, the ralltling stops. If that is the case, then replacing the shims (and pads if needed) should help.

Hmm... noise doesn't seem to go away while braking.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from rear (passenger side)..

Any other thoughts?

Loose heat shield around exhaust system? Shake the muffler and see if you hear anything.

Had the dealer take a look... turns out the noise was an adjuster spring that had come loose in the brake assembly. They put a new spring in and the noise is gone. Hoorah.
