Got my Motorcycle license... Finally
After riding for over a year without a permit or a license I finally took my road test today after having my permit for 2 weeks... The testing agent was surprised to see me pull up on a 89 cubic inch Fatboy and actually pass
One thing I don't realize is why the test is set up the way it is... There is nothing about that test that has any real world application.... Just don't get it Tom |

Re: Got my Motorcycle license... Finally
Real bikes are not bought, so this should lead you to where I will acquire my next pair of wheels Look for a 113cubic incher running a 6speed trans on a 10" wide tire sometime in the next couple of years. Tom |

Re: Got my Motorcycle license... Finally
Congrats to you and congrats for not being illegal riding.
I thought those tests make some sense to me and it's somehow useful for emergency applications.

I can't see you getting knee sliders anytime soon for the big scooter type bike you are describing. Get yourself a real bike instead of one of those 2-wheeled human blimp transporters. Scare yourself at high speed for a change!! Joe

Re: Got my Motorcycle license... Finally
Congrats, Tom! After many years of being bikeless, I finally put another bike into my garage and have been racking up the miles again. Having taken my motorcycle license test about 25 years ago, it's hard to remember all that I had to do in the driving test for it except for the figure eight. Hopefully in a few years I will be able to afford a "real" bike but for now I'm getting 64mpg average (72mpg was highest) on my baby Buell.
There is nothing like riding a motorcycle! Glad to see you are now legal.
