Misc. Ramblings
The latest issue of Hemmings Sports and Exotic Cars (March 2007) just arrived. Two articles in it caught my eye.

The first one was about the president of the Vintage SAAB Club of North America. It is Titled "Blue Smoke and V-4's."
It stirred memories and feelings about my 1967 SAAB V-4 Monte Carlo GT. I'll always have fond memories of the car. Wish I had never sold it.

The second article is about a Ferrari prototype from the 1980's. It is titled "Prancing Horsepower."
This article has more relevance to SVXphiles. It seems that Ferrari set up a special engineering division to bring more of their racing technology to their road cars and to investigate new technologies for the future. They built a protype called the 408/4RM using 4-wheel drive and a new V-8. I was struck by how much the body style of this Ferrrari looks like a cross between a Subaru XT & SVX (at least in the magazine photos). The body was designed by Ercole Spada who did alot of Zagato show cars.

Personally, I like the wedge shape of the Weinermobile. I wonder how much downforce is generated by the frank upturn at the rear.

I like it also. Nice shape.

It is closest to the shape of the AC 3000 ME, which was mid engine rear drive.

The rear portion could be mistaken for a Honda NSX, you probably call them Acura.

Part AC, then, part Acura.
