I agree. I have an L with the grey dash. Looks great with grey leather!

Nice mod, definitely an improvement to the dash.

I'll have to disagree. I like the later look -- the dot pattern is much more pronounced in the '92, plus, there's too much "purple." At least the later models had the "color" of wood.

Have vinyl cut to exact size. Cover the indicators. Paint the panel. Peel off vinyl letters. Voila!

I still prefer the '92 because it almost looks more like some random, graphic pattern than fake woodgrain. It's so fake, it doesen't even look, well... fake.

That's It ...

the maroon plastic in the '92s looks like... burgundy tortoise shell? Chrysler's done something similiar in the 300c but didn't try to make it look like wood and it's been well recieved in the motoring press. They're selling alot of 300c's.
I'll have to go to a dealer and see what they've done.

Randy, you know how tiny those letters are, right? even if you had them laser-cut for you, you'd need tweezers, a magnifying glass, and the steadiest hand in the world to place them on straight!

the only way i could see to do it would be to mask off a small rectangle around the words. might not look too bad if you were painting the trim a dark color.

if you were extremely ambitious, you could get in there with a VERY fine artist brush and paint around the letters after removing the masking......if you had a REAL STEADY hand.

I think it looks awesome, Mike. The 92 - 93 dash is way too dark and the top piece always turns purple. I despise it. The mod you did is fantastic!
