Well, I too have a regular email address, but its boreing. You know, something@fiberpipe.net, wow. I dont use this one. I use god@subaru-svx.net (Only an example). Why, becuase I feel it has more character than the first. Another example:

If your name was bob and you have an everyday email address account like bob148@aol.com, thats fine. But would bob@subaru-svx.net say more about what bob enjoys? Now I know this wouldnt be for everyone. I know that probably Aredubjay and myself are the only ones who think having a Subaru SVX email address absolutly rocks, but I am trying to find out if there are others who would be interested. The email would work like a normal POP3 email account as well as having a web interface to use while on the road or at work like Hotmail or Yahoo mail. This is just an idea and I am trying to get peoples feelings or feedback about it. Lets me know what services are wanted or wasted time.

Doug, if you use Outlook, or outlook express, you can point it to the server and check it from anywhere. I'm sure, if whatever software you're using has the capabilities of checking multiple boxes at various locations, you should be able to forward.

Right now, I have a yahoo account, earthlink, svx.net and aol. The only account I can't check through Outlook or Outlook express is AOL, but, with AOL Anywhere, I can check my AOL mail, anywhere. So, it's no big deal.

Chris, correct me if I'm wrong.

I would be interested only if the Subaru SVX e-mail offered the same kind of firewall and protection against computer viruses (or is it viri) that typical corporate e-mail systems have.

That is one of the benifits of forwarding option. If I forward it to my main email account on my server, its scanned and cleaned before it ever hits my computer.
