Rreading V Meet Poster

Ben & Mike,

I was talking to Bobby Rafferty (co-owner of RAFFETY SUBARU in Newtown Square, PA)on Wednesday. I told him about the Reading V SVX Meet and that we expected over 50 SVXes to be there. He told me to give him something so he convince someone at SOA to have a "Subaru presence" (as he phrased it) at this meeting.
This morning here at work, I just cobbled something together quiclky from one of the old 10th Anniv. SVX Meet posters. I will print it out at home where I have a color printer. (we are not allowed to use the color printers at work. They are reserved for the sales dept. not us engineers- toot toot)

I hope that I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by doing this.

Larry, talk to Mike. He was working with SOA and I also passed along a card from the Sales Mgr from Steve Moyer Subaru (the Reading Dealer). Haven't heard what he's come up with if anything.

50 cars huh? Ya really think we'll see that? Considering there are what 30 people total signed up for dinner? If that doesn't change soon I'll have to really downgrade our stuff.

There have already been arrangments made with SOA. They will be fully represented at the event. LangstonSubaru out of pittsburgh is also sponsoring our Road Rally this year and will be bringing a car.

That's because some of us can't afford $22.00 EACH for dinner. I'd like to go, but paying for the hotel was tough enough for me at this time.

I don't think that's bad at all. Have you dined out recently? I went out to dinner with a friend last night at an average-priced local place i frequent and the total was $52.53 (after tip). This is still cheaper than that. $22 for a planned special event dinner, is NOT bad.

Sure. We like Pub 99. But for the two of us, including tip, it's rarely more than $25.

This is the first Reading meet I'm able to attend, and unfortunatly, it's on a shoestring budget. I agree that for a special dinner it's not bad, but with gas for two cars, two nights at the hotel, and a day's pay for taking Friday off, this trip is already expensive for us.

I see it like this... Spend $6-8 on dinner at Burger King or something like that... Then I get the last $16 to buy Beer with at the bar Priorities... That's what it is all about... Also Gas alone getting up there from Beaufort is gonna kill me.. I estimated that I'm gonna need to fill up 3 times before I get there!!! And the price of gas nowdays is terrible!!!!

Save a table at Burger King for me! Maybe we can have our own special dinner and wear those cool paper crowns. If there's a play room I have dibs on the slide!

Just a note, you will NOT be allowed into the dinner area without purchasing a dinner ticket. By not being there you will miss the awards for the rally (with some very expensive prizes)! You will also miss the SVX Trivia session which will also have some pretty nice prizes!
