Yes, it should shift at 6500 in power mode or if you are manually shifting.

That's what mine could shift at...
 But I never take it over 5,500 rpm... There's no real need to with the 5 MT... Plenty of torque...

One guess - mine shifted at a much lower rpm when the air filter was soaked with water.
Maybe check your intake? Other than that I don't know.

with the 5speed in hits freaking fuel cut at 6500 rpm(will float a tiny bit higher) so im assuming that redline is a littler lower then that. What a shame, our engines are good so far past that but there dosnt seem to be away to implament a FCD, just go standalone.

I'm pretty sure that, under power mode, my car will shift before 6,500 - possibly the 6,100 or 6,200 Rob describes. The shifts are, after all, sort of long and soft - so waiting until 6,500 would mean that the engine would hit the fuel cut.
I'm not sure what engine speed the car would shift at, in manual mode, to save the engine. I would assume the same speeds. My car reliably shifts into 2nd at approximately 40mph and 3rd at approximately 80mph. I haven't been in power mode for the 3-4 shift recently.
