A long to-do list just got MUCH shorter!

WOW.

My 1989 RX is now in Subafreak's hands, and in exchange, he helped me accomplish the following:

*install brand-new OEM struts and K&B dropsprings

*install braided SS brake lines

*replace faulty ABS sensor with working unit

*change front & rear diff. fluid

*drain and fill radiator fluid

*bleed brakes

*four-wheel alignment

my car is AWESOME.

the car ride home was packed with "emergency" lane-change manuvers and straight-line braking tests. the k&b's perform FLAWLESSLY and the car looks SUPER MEAN with its new stance. the braided brake lines seem to have solved my "soggy pedal" problem and now all i need is a five-speed!

unfortunately, i have nothing other than an old, tired suspension to compare the new k&b setup to, but i can say for absolute certian that the car is now capable of turning harder and faster than it EVER did before. tight turns which would've elected tire squeal in the past now result in a firm, planted, "crack-the-whip" feeling. amazing.

Thanks Subafreak for all your help, and i hope the RX gears work out for you. I hope i'll have an oppurtunity to go wheeling with you once you get everything bolted up

ps- i called in sick to work today...

Good to hear. I take it the alignment is good and no strange noises from anything? Getting back in my car after driving yours made me realize what a difference thoes braided SS lines make, I always thought I had god brakes but now they feel spongy compared to yours, I guess i'm gona have to get some of thoes too. With all the trails up by your place, hell I'll even make a special trip up to go wheeling. Called out sick for work? Now I'v seen what you do, I don't think that qualifies as work, really.
