Penny gets the greatest looks.......

We just got home this evening from our vacation to Vegas. We live just over 500 interstate miles from Vegas and the trip there and back is always leisurely.

Last Saturday we drove as far as Mesquite, NV, which is approximately 400 miles. Made it in 5 hours at an average speed of 85 mph.

Today we came all the way home from Vegas in 6.5 hrs at an average speed of 80 mph. Got a lot of looks, got a lot of "speed up to go around the strange car, then back off again"

There are so many places on the road in UT where we could have opened her up, but I've heard too many horror stories about speeding fines in UT to really risk it. Penny did 100+ a couple of times, and I just know she's born to it: the faster, the smoother......

We didn't come home with any money, but the drive was worth it. Penny just didn't particularly care for being parked and not started for 4 days!

Vegas? Why not check out Reno...? (just joking) Glad you had a safe trip.

I maxed out my mom's 93 Legacy turbo at about 132mph in UT a few months ago. Lotsa good places on 15 and 70. But a good radar detector is a must before attempting that.

Maxed out? My 91 turbo buried the speedo at 140mph and still had some RPM's left to go. Not as stable as the SVX at 140mph thoe. Maxed out my dads 87 GL-10 turbo sedan at 125mph, not bad for that car.

You are just not sad and depraved enough.

Don't worry, it will come in time.

Uh. Gee. Now I'm not sure if I get it.

Just what was it you thought I was saying anyway. If you read "sad and depraved", I'm afraid you misread.
