Penny is a pin-up!
Yesterday a colleague asked me if I knew that my car was on the cover of the Out & About section of the newspaper. I had no idea, so I ran across the street and got a paper. Lo and behold, there was Penny right on the cover of that section and at the head of the article about this weekend's car show. I had sent a picture with my registration because I figured no one would have a clue what my car was, or which class to put me in.
I was surprised that most of the questions I expected weren't asked today. No one even commented about the windows until the afternoon. I was one of only about 10 imports in the whole show and I knew I was destined not to win a thing. I was surrounded by Corvettes, Porshes, Prowlers, and Vipers. But it was fun to look at all the other cars and chat with people, and of course answer questions about my car. They may not have voted for me, but a lot of people told me what a nice car I have. It was an overall nice experience for my first show. Laid back, and the day couldn't have been nicer, even the rain stayed away. And I can't help but feel some sort of pride that MY car was the picture in the paper! ~~Michelle

She deserved to be a pin up! She is one of a kind.
It is always fun to show off our cars, and I am glad you had a great time.  Maybe the next time you will win something.

I went on vacation just after starting this thread. I will try sometime this week to get the front page scanned. Eclique, it was in the Out & About section of the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
