it's way easier to do the bypass than pull the bulb, and easier to revese the procedure when you get a new checker box.

No no... I mean... my Stop Lamp Checker is working properly. It came on to tell me that my brake light was about to die (which it was). I replaced the faulty bulb and the problem is gone.
