Proper Tire Rotation

O.k, I want to rotate my tire, by myself. I noticed my front tires are getting worn more then my rear, and before someone jumps on me, my car is FWD and if it was AWD I would not have uneven wear. I need to know the proper rotation pattern to go. My tires haven't been rotated since I got it as far as I know. I have put 5k miles on them now and like I said I noticed the front tires are worn more then the rear.

So my question is what is the proper rotation for this car .

I have heard many different ideas, but the one I would go with is front to back and back to front. Same side, just front to back. If the tires are directional, that is the only way you should do it. Good luck.

Normally, you rotate your tires every 6,000 miles, so you are just in time. One way to remember is to rotate every other oil change.

O.k so I just got done. Using my jack and spare tire and some spare time. They should have been done awhile ago but. Also I noticed a big difference in thread.

Tires

If i am correct you have to go front to back or back to front if you were to criss cross them the wheels would be backwards, They are directional wheels ....
Am i correct on this????

no, I might go do that right now will be kinda sad as I can't buy it >.>
and as far as rotation yeah, I did Front to back , Back to Front. Did you have a chance to rotate them before I got it from you because of the tread wear is that bad I fear, Alignment is needed.

Make sure that you reset your tire pressures.

I don't remember what it is on a FWD, but on the AWD Subaru recomends
33psi front and 29psi on the rear.
Its listed on the tag on the drivers side B-pillar, where the door lock striker is located.
