Aluminum Interior...?

Just looking for any opinions on the Aluminum Interior. I was thinking about buying it, but I wanted to see what some other owners thought?? How is Installation and is it pretty good quality?

My opinion-It leaves too many gaps where the stock dash can be seen. If you have the grey stock dash, I think it'd look quite nice, but if you have the wood dash, I think you may be disappointed.

I've got wood interior.
I've seen pictures and I think it looks pretty slick.
But it leaves gaps?? Hmm. I dunno then

I have the carbon fiber dash kit..I was warned about the gaps too..just make sure you line up the pieces as well as possible..dont hurry the install..you will be happy..go for it..I considered the kit in question as well but im going with a dark charcoal paint scheme..thus the cf fit best

Since you are obviously not too worried about preserving the faux wood pieces, why not dry fit the pieces first to see what kind of gap appears. Then simply paint the exposed edges with a grey or silver paint before applying the new overlay pieces. That way the gaps will not show up at all and because the painted edges will be recessed from the other surfaces, you will not have to worry about the painted surface getting scratched or chipped. I think you can get the best of both worlds that way.

It leaves a lot of gaps...
My opinion, as i have done, take out all the faux wood finish in the car, get 1500 and 1800 sand papers, rub them till the faux wood finish is gone, paint them all the desired color with lacquer finish except the A/C switches panel.
on the latter, after say the silver paint is on and before the lacquer finish, cut small letters with vynil like CIRC and OFF...., stick them to the A/C panel then paint it with lacquer (so you have first the paint , then the vynil letters then the lacquer) which will hold the letter from falling off....

Nice trick, isn't it? but i dunno how much they charge in the states for such a paintjob.... but it is worth the $$$

Not sure if you are referring to our kits, but we rarely get
any complaints on our dashkits.
Did you see the kit in the kit on our 5 spd car ? Painting
any visible faux woods a really good idea, but in most cases
not needed.
Btw, we offer discounts for new members and any or all orders

Welcome. Laguna Blue is the best! Admittedly, I may be a little biased.

I would also suggest an Alcyone SVX patch to match your future Alcyone hood emblem. I still have about a dozen left (from the one-time only run of 110). Send me a PM if interested.

Well i have removed any trace concerning knowing my car is a Subaru..... i left a big Vynil sticker on the Hood (Alcyone) but people think it is a Bull Face.... but they never know it is an Subaru SVX.... I recommend the clear headlights, they fit like a charm, but the corners are a pain in the ass... you will need a grinder, a cutter, measurement tape, SuperGlue, Silicone, Dryer and an oven................. but they are worth the trouble...

Man, ideas just pop up in my head about certain Mods... some of them in process and others still not begun yet... I have done this dash mod (silver) as i have described but not the A/C console letters, i will redo them when i get my White gauges... (still looking for the best price )
