But I did qualify it... I'm just curious about it.... I find dealers in general don't want anyone taking their car to an indepentdent shop... the reason is just good business from their point of view. I too try to stay away from "chain" shops... but you have to find someone you can trust if you can't do the work yourself. And if you do... watch out... sometimes they turn on you.....

I do work at a dealership. I don't mind the local garages though. They buy lots of parts from me


Actually, you'd be surprised how many local garages sublet their work to us. It's funny.....some people go to local garages because they don't like dealerships, but we end up with their car anyway!

it's a hit or miss with aamaco. some people had great service, some did not. like mr. pockets said, it's all dependent on the technician/mechanic that they hire that's there at the time.
