Virginia State Police

My son was driving our SVX on I81 ,back from having the transmission rebuilt at USA Transmissions, when he was pulled over by a Virginia State Trooper south of Winchester Virgina. The car was a little loud due to a newly formed leak in the exhaust which was WHY he was pulled over. The trooper stated that the "windows" were after market and were illegal in the state of Virginia. My son explained that they were STOCK but the trooper didn't seem to believe him. No ticket was issued but we couldn't believe the Trooper's lack of knowledge about the SVX, and that he thought the windows were non stock and needed to be replaced. (replaced with WHAT??)

Now that is funny! If only he had given him a ticket for modified windows or something, it would have been nice to shove some brouchers in his face at the courthouse.

Hmm - the only other people I have had think the windows were aftermarket were burger king drive thru workers.

Speaking of clueless cops - A local cop gave my father in law a ticket for a 1982 starcraft camper while he was driving his ford ranger. He handed the cop the registration for his pop up camper by mistake (which was parked at home at the time) The cop didn't notice and wrote up the ticket to the trailer. Needless to say this one didn't make it to court after a call to the police chief about his rookie. (I wanted him to call the news channel)
