Yeah I'm sure the prices will come down some time. I was working on breaking my second 5 speed so I figured it was time to upgrade. I was gonna go with some RA gears and an LSD front diff but to do all that and pay someone qulified to put it together I would be spending about the same amount.

Try to follow along will ya. It's not ready to roll yet, althoe it would have been damn close this weekend if Kingpin would get there heads out there asses and get me the rest of my parts.
I was just annoying that I didn't have my stuff before, but now it is officially holding me up and pissing me off. Anyone live near Phoenix thats wants to go to Kingpin and smack someone in the head for me?

Jesse,
Repeat after me "Reading is still a couple of months away. Reading is still a couple of months away." Repeat until anger subsides and desire to disfigure Kingpin employees subsides..... -Bill

Good news, I should "should" have the rest of my stuff for this weekend. I can't say for sure i'll be driving it this weekend but it would have a 6 speed in it and be very close to being driven. The only question is if the STI front axles will be of the right size and outer spline. If not then i'm gonna need to do some Franken mating or total costom axles$$$$ So pray for me.

if the old STI axles won't fit, it might be a shot in the dark but the 05 STI axles might be a match. They are using a similar hub right??

They rebuild cv axles and might be able to help you out. It is worth a try.

Here is a pic of the x-member in the car.
BTW: This is the same X-member I was using with the 5 speed, so the mounting position is the same from the 6 to the 5 speed.

Here's another angle of the installed tranny. It's like putting an auto back in. This thing is huge, and notice how close it clears everything.

Here are the extended shifter rods and reverse lockout cable.
Each of these needs to be extended 3 1/2 inches.
