Good news
Those of you who know me from that other site (chris_michelle_bishop) know about my AAMCO tranny saga last fall. For those who don't, here it is in a nutshell. They "rebuilt" my tranny, charging (of course) for the aux cooler which they didn't actually install the first time. It went back a week later because it wouldn't engage (and they had to actually install the cooler). Then we tried to drive to Denver (250 miles) and it went out completely 175 miles from home. We had to be towed back after sitting on the side of the hwy for 2 1/2 hrs. They claimed that they really didn't know what was wrong, the owner was EXTREMELY rude to me, and they told me when I picked it up that I shouldn't try leaving town for awhile.
Well, it's been almost 6 mths and 4K miles later and we braved the trip this weekend. YEA!!! It performed so incredibly well up and over all passes. I got to drive my favorite canyon road not once, but twice. All is right with the world now. BTW, I saw a black SVX on hwy 6 in Clear Creek Canyon at about 12:30 on Saturday. Was it anyone here? --- Michelle (really, really happy)
