Question new member looking at buying

Hi to all you svx fans out there. I am looking at buying an svx in New Zealand for NZ$11,000. It is a 1991 with 4ws and leather. I am new to the area of buying cars and I was just wonding about a few of things before i dig into my wallet. It has done 165,000 km which is quite alot and i am wondering what might go wrong after this amount of driving. It also has ACX2 which i would like to know what this is! How easy is it to get parts for these things and what is likely to go wrong with it after this amount of travel. How easy is it to get replacement panels and where could i get it from. i have an understanding that these cars a pretty rare so parts in NZ might be hard. Please help me as my knowledge is limited and im not sure if it is worth NZ$11000. Thank you - Andrew

Welcome to SVX land

You might want to post this in the down-under section. I am sure Harvey could answer your questions. The 4WS is special and not available in the USA. Your trans is also different than the USA version.

Take Care

Andrew,
Welcome to the Network. You might try PMing Trevor. He's in your neck of the woods and would be a good resource for advice on price, etc. From my understanding, unless you have the bucks to maintain, a 4WS SVX is a pricey consideration. The uniqueness is great, but, maintenance is usually an expensive proposition without the 4WS, much less, with. As for the "ACX2," I've never heard of it.
