Thanks to everyone who came on the cruise :)

Many thanks guys, it was somewhat of a success. Sorry it didnt go as smoothly as planned, hopefully the next one will go better. Meet monster hit pretty hard this year it seems Just remind me not to let Hocrest lead again next year

All kidding aside though, I hope you all had fun and want to do another one in the future Thinking of planning a small one again next year, with more time in advance to put it together. All provided I can get another local member to run along with me on a Saturday. Possible options are a cruise through Valley Forge park with stops for photos, or maybe a cruise up to Delaware Water Gap (bit of a hike, but well worth it if you want a longer cruise).

Special thanks to Mr Mummert, BBQ was great. Much appreciated Sir, beer on me next time

Huck and Onor, hope you enjoyed the BBQ as well

All in all a good meet, thanks for having me guys. Congrats to the raffle winners.

Tom, it was good to finally meet you and put a face with the name and voice Now I see why they call you Old Tom I'll definitely be in touch with ya soon I'm sure

Thanks again guys and gals!

-Brian

Re: Thanks to everyone who came on the cruise :)

I want to thank you guy's for having it and all the planning & headaches that went with it.

It has been a rough couple years for me so a little diversion was welcome.

It was great to tag along.
BTW... a friend's son went past us all while we were off to the side at Turkey Hill. It seems our SVX's were quite the talk when his dad told him that's what I drive & one was us. Small world.

Busting chops

I'm just as guilty, and I apologize things didnt go smoother. When he signaled left and turned right, I took that as my cue to take the lead and I made a wrong turn. Should have gone east on 724 instead of west (to avoid the double light in Birdsboro we went through), but I goofed.

If I plan the next one, I plan to start sooner than I did with this one. Being somewhat last minute, it was tough to plan. Thinking 3-4 months in advance for the next one, and I'd probably need another local member to help. I'd love to do a Valley Forge cruise at a future meet.

Sorry about that. Pulling up to that intersection I was thinking to go left. Then when I got stopped and made sure everyone was behind, I realized that the right turn would go out past the golf course like you mapped.

If no one else volunteers, we'll put something together next year...

edit, WOOHOO!!!!! I just realized I broke 5,000 posts!!!!!!!!!

heh, bit too far into the south for me...

If you want good BBQ though, there's a little restaurant just outside Wilmington Ohio that is real southern BBQ. Their pulled pork makes even Muddy's look like dog spit I thought I'd died when I ate it it was that good And he doesn't screw around with portions either, for $5 you get about a pound and a half of pork on a gigantic roll with a side of mash potatoes and down home southern style soul food gravy

Thumbs up Re: Thanks to everyone who came on the cruise :)

In the 11 years I've done the Reading scene, getting lost during rallies, scavenger hunts, & tours, is a tradition. Scenery is still scenery, & the GPS will get us home (eventually). Thankin' Diablo for the last minute effort.

Ron.
