Service Thread?

I don't know if this is in the right place of if I'm even allowed to create a thread here, but is there going to be some sort of small service repair at Reading? This could include 15 minute mods, things like that. I know I need my brake band and/or throttle sensor fixed, and if someone at Reading could do it for me at a reasonable price, that would be great! Just shooting that out there!

I was thinking the same thing. We can have a maintenance/tech/how to section and maybe some of the senior members can bring select monitor to trouble shoot engine problems etc...........

Yeah! This could be an easy way for some members to make a little extra cash to pay for their gas or room, etc. I am sure some people would be up for the power mode mod, simple suspension mods, brakes, etc.

I know from past conversations with some of the "Technical Members" that Reading is their only vacation away from working on cars on a 7 day/week schedule. I'm sure there are some members here willing to help out with small projects.

But please be considerate when asking for help. Everything so far in this thread seems fine. But I know in the past people have shown up expecting free work from people that normally make their living doing this.

I would never ask somebody to do free work on my car. It goes both ways. I wouldn't want someone to come to reading and ask me to rewire their entire stereo, install a subwoofer, and all that jazz. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm willing to pay for someone's work.

It would be beneficial to someone like me, who isn't a car wizard yet, to watch someone make some repairs that i'm not experienced in.
