Flexplate part number?

I remember seeing someone posting the thicker version flexplate. I tried searching but was unable to find anything. Can someone help? I need to order it soon. Thanks! PS Do I need anything else while I'm at it?

Re: Flexplate part number?

I don't know the part number, but request one for a 2003 OB with the 4EAT.

Re: Flexplate part number?

+2, I am running the newer flexplate in my car and am having no problems at all. Let me know if you need the actual part number, I am sure I can dig it up in my records. I searched around here for it, but the search function and I don't get along...grrrr....

Re: Flexplate part number?

A part number would be helpful. The guy at Subaru didn't know what I was talking about. He said he hasn't heard about any upgrade. He was also unaware about using another car's flexplate for the SVX. So yes, a part number would help!

He would have no idea about it being usable in an SVX. Just ask for a flexplate for a 2003 OB with the 4EAT.

Are you calling Minooka? I know they have a new guy in parts, that will want to play it by the book. Ask for John.

Re: Flexplate part number?

YT put the newer version of the flexplate in when he rebuilt my engine. he sent photos to my phone of the original and new one side-by-side.

The newer one is definitely beefier looking and a lot stronger. Part number is 12332AA071

Re: Flexplate part number?

Hopefully the title of this thread will make it easier to find in the future. I spent a good hour trying to find it through search.

Re: Flexplate part number?

The pic he showed is a later flexplate. The stock phase 1 flexplate has just 4 large holes but is thinner than this one.

Re: Flexplate part number?

I've got the engine out of my car to replace it.
Is it worthwhile replacing the flex plate with the heavier version while it's out ?
It looks like a new flex plate is less than $100
