yes tom you are correct an auto is still an auto unfortunatly i was in an accident hit by a 84 year old gentleman and it severed a nerve in my back, so manuals are not quite a go for me now. I can drive them albeit with great diffilculty if the need arises so I am now handicapped by the need for an auto, hence the loved SVX. the 5EAT swap would be perfect however it involves ALOT more time, $$$$
and wiring issues since the brain and the TCU talk to each other constantly on a newer tranny ( what they talk about that much I'll NEVER know) The 5EAT would be a dream if the 4EAT (with 18000 miles on it ) blows up and the car is not driveable then AND ONLY then the wife said I could price it out
