So much for the entropistic theory!

lol I'm not in to zinfandel, but I do know if you store wine too long, it'll turn into vinagar also that exposing it to light will make it go bad faster, at least for liquors. I'm guessing it's like a bannana, it's ok, it gets good, then goes bad. I dunno, I cant drink, so I could care less about the properties of stuff that gets you drunk

The proper aging of wine depends on the conditions in which it is stored. There is a specific temperature, and also a specific angle at which the bottle should be stored. There are many other variables which I can go into if you need me to, but if wine is stored properly, it generally does get better with age.

The ultimate question

Ok...First of all. Congrats on the purchase. I hope you get years of enjoyment.....you son-of....oh wait....no jealousy here!

Sorry 'bout that.

However the ultimate question is "how long can you store wine in an SVX transmission before it turns?"

Well, for those of you that think I ain't got no freekin' couth about the fruits of the vine, lemme' tell ya; the box was properly stored on its side in my temperature controlled trunk. And Zeppelin will attest to the fact that genuine plastic stemless cups were used upon decanting, not paper ones. The white zinfandel, while a tad weak on the nose, had a brilliant finish. In fact after six glasses, I was definately finished.

How did this end up a wine conversation? My uncle makes his own wine, so i have tasted some interesting ones.

It's nice to see the owner of the "last SVX in captivity" has decided to join our network. Welcome.
