I have been wondering about Leo

and his dilemma. Hopefully it works out in his favor.

How about an update Leo? Inquiring minds want to know!

........................pissed.................

that about sums it up. basically these idiots have taken a week to push my car across the street. i still dont know the extent to which the motor is locked.

they are supposed to turn the motor by hand as soon as they can get it to this guys shop. i am about a day away from having towed to my local mechanic.

i am having serious SVX withdrawals. they SVX Gods are not shining upon me.

the saga continues..............

thanks for the concern everyone....i will keep you updated.

latest update......

spoke with the mechanic and he tried to turn the motor. basically it turned about halfway before locking up again with a metal to metal noise included.

looks like i have a broken piston rod or worse. i am looking at $1500-3000 in repairs. i will go ahead and have the car fixed. so i will keep the SVX.

called my insurance and they said my policy would not change eventhough the car will have a salvaged title.

i should have the car back in one to two weeks.

Repairs to hydrolocked engine: $1500-$3000

Having your SVX back: priceless

Leo, I hope you get her back soon and in good order.

Leo,
I'm just now catching up on the news. That's great. Only two weeks to replace/rebuild an engine, and at that price, it's a bargain. That is, considering it takes 30 days and a 900.00 rental, just to DIAGNOSE transmission problems.

See you in July!!!!!!

should know more details this week....

once he tears into her he will fax me over the final quote. his gut feeling was that just a piston rod or two may have broken. hopefully that is all the damage that has been done.

funny thing is, he offered to buy her from me if i didnt want to get her fixed. that is always a good sign.

most definitely see you guys in july. thanks pockets and aredub.

Leo,

Keep your chin up bud. This is going to be great to see you with your car at IN. You can tell the mech. that I have a 94 for sale. (I am trying to get rid of it in all directions)

when i got in that accident with a Ford F-250 and the front was all smashed up, one of the mechanics and the body shop said he would buy it from me for $5500 as is. Aint happening is what i told him. I knew that was a good sign.
