Any svx mechanics in southern california?

Getting really desperate.. I looked up the shop search but that place is a bit of a drive from riverside... I cannot work on my car here since my hometown is up north (my garage, tools are there). I'm down here for school. Can anyone recommend a place for work on the SVX? I'm paranoid cause i've been driving on (what I feel is) bad rear wheel bearings for quite some time, and my front axle needs replacing (cv boot ripped both sides).

help!

I'm looking too!

I have made this request before, I really need to know a reasonably good SVX person in Southern California. I have got everything working now on my car, but that is by people who go by books, not because they have intimate, actual knowledge of the car. And the closest dealerships are more than 20 miles away.

Please PM me the number as well!! I'm in Orange, CA. I can do basic things (I do my own brake work, electrics work, interior work), but don't have the equipment needed to do big jobs (suspension, bearings, exhaust).

However, I do have a select monitor interface and would LOVE to try it out on some SVXs besides my own. It would help the creator a lot if I could try it. If any of you are nearby and can stop by, let me know. If not, tell me when you're free and I'll make the drive myself. ALWAYS good to meet a fellow SVX owner, and even better if I can have a peek at your engine computer.

Yeah, I do minor/ minor major jobs. I've done the suspension, oil changes, installed a couple ECU Tune chips, watched Tom do the rear bearings (don't know if I'd takle it myself tho).

Slightly OT, but there is an "old school" Subaru meet going on down in San Diego this weekend.

here is the link from NASIOC.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1316244

was going to try and take my BRAT and show them real old school, but don't have time.

BTW we should all get together and attend one of those subaru drives that are held in OC the third sunday of every month. get a whole hoard of SVXs there and show those Impreza WRX guys where the lines for their cars originated.

Ohh.. one more thing

There is an SVX in a junkyard in Ventura. As of Saturday atleast.
engine/tranny and pass front hubs are gone.

Interior is ok, not sure if it's still there.

Friend said that it was located on Mission Rock Road w/a picture of a dinosaur eating a car.

I might go there this weekend to check it out.

Damn, I hate having work on weekends... but since it starts at 10 AM, I'll see if I can't make it for at least a few hours.
