3.545 is just too slow for me...

...I need 4.111!

looks yummy

Hurray!

this will be fun

So 4.111 is cool and whatever, but I just need more with it, hmmm...

Let's add one of these:

And a little of this:

Now where shall we put it?

That looks like a good place to me

Yeah, I think that will hold me for a while

The trans is from an 02 B4 RSK Limited. It also has Variable Torque Distribution! I'm sure the wiring is going to be a pain in the ass, but it will be worth it. I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing about the airbag and whatnot. Oh well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it

If you pull that swap off, it'll be the coolest auto trans SVX in the US. How much did all of those parts run you? Looks like it would've cost a pretty penny.

Congrats and good luck!

That little up/down is for changing gears, matches the one on the steering wheel. In the gallery, a pic of a round knob. My guess is that is TD.

What are the gear ratios in that beast?

Need is right, the + and - are for gear changes. It's essentially the same as the 03-04 legacy GT's and BAJA's except the shifter is setup for rhd. I'll probably change that.

What round knob? All the torque distribution is controled by the TCU, just like a normal 4eat.

umm, okay

The ratios are the same as almost all other 4eats including the svx. 2.785, 1.545, 1.000, .694.

btw, are you doing all the work yourself?
looks like an amazing project, basically 100x better than stock, yet with the stock feel of automatic.....

this is kind of off topic but is there a standard name for the "automatic manual" shifting system thingy? I know i've heard different names like sportshift and tiptronic, but was just wondering if there is a standard.

Not that I'm aware of. Every company has their own name for it.
